Lin Family Mansion and gardens

We went to Lin family gardens with my school last week-end. It was really blowtiful! (sic) A chinese garden with mini pagodas and kiosques, and tropical trees and ponds.
We ate moon cakes ( it was the moon festival) and youzi : a chinese grapefuit (pamplemousse) which is neither juicy nor sweet. Everybody tried to get rid of it by offering his/hers to other people. There was an intensive youzi traffic that evening.
We explored the gardens, got lost, Matt number 2 and i entered forbiden areas and secret passages.
then when the night fell, there was a concert of traditional chinese music. It was amazing, the music with the scenery. We felt like some ancient dynasty's land-owners listening to a private concert in our garden.
The players explained the names of the instruments and the way to use them in chinese in between pieces.
